No measure of time with you will be long enough. But we’ll start with forever.
– Edward Cullen, The Twilight Saga
Yeah, I just made a Twilight reference, and what are you gonna do about it? I have no shame. I went to Forks and La Push for the first time, and I just can’t freakin’ help myself. However, I believe, even if it’s just a fraction, everyone likes those movies just a little bit – if not for the story, for the breathtaking scenery of the PNW.
So back to the actual content of my blog post, Haley + Tyler were the winners of my engagement session giveaway from this past winter, and I wanted it to be a really special experience for them, so why not go to one of the most romantic and picturesque parts of the beautiful state that we call home? I couldn’t have been more thrilled when they were 100% on board and ready for an adventure.
We agreed to meet in Forks and then drive out to La Push and Second Beach on the reservation together – and the weather could not have been more perfect. I won’t lie though, a part of me was a little sad that it wasn’t overcast and moody, because that’s just the scene you picture in your head when you think about that area…but I wasn’t about to complain that it was sunny and clear in the Olympic Peninsula, because that would be crazy.
Everything about this shoot was amazing – the weather, the couple, the connection we all shared, and my selfless mother making the trip to lend me a hand. Everything was perfect and I can’t wait for their winter wedding this November, I already know it’s going to be a great day.
